I had the pleasure of photographing the Hebert/Wagner wedding back in May of this year. It was a small wedding at the St. Eugene Catholic Church. The flowers were beautifully done by MJ’s Floral Boutique, the stained glass gave a beautiful haze of light through the church, and the small crowd of close friends and family kept things personal and intimate.
I didn’t get to know the couple very well before the wedding but enjoyed seeing their special day none the less. I saw two families come together to celebrate love, friends share jokes and try not to cry as they stand witness to the ceremony and a little girl happily watch her father marry her new step mom.
I’m not busy with many weddings this season but will hopefully get to do more in the future. There is something special about weddings.
Brett Austin is part of Mt. Baker’s Class of 2017. Our time together was short but during that time I could see how much the people in his life mean to him – and vice versa. His family was gushing about him before he got there and he made sure to get a photo with each person separately.
It was very heartwarming to see such an incredible group of people supporting, encouraging and loving him. Standing behind him and being there for big moments – good and bad. I could really tell that each one of these people has been there for him as he’s grown into a very sweet young man.
Congratulations on graduating from high school, Brett. Good luck with your coming choices of school and career that you mentioned to me. You have a very kind heart and I think you will be wonderful at anything you choose.
